Guest guest
Hi Niki Do you have any symptoms of low adrenal function? Some of the symptoms are very similar to low thyroid, but if you look in the files section under "Adrenals" there is a questionnaire you can complete. I personally like the Nutri Adrenomax which is a blend of vitamins, minerals and herbs to support the adrenals, and you can buy it through this site and get a 33% discount from Nutri Ltd - again in the files section under "Discounts on Supplements and Tests". You could give them a try, see if you notice any difference in your symptoms. Gill x > I am wondering though whether it would be a good idea to start on some adrenal support now? I am working on the nutritional supplement side of things, just in two minds about whether to wait or whether to just go ahead so I'm a bit further on when I do see him.> > Any thoughts?> > Niki> -x-
Guest guest
Hi Gill, Yes, I've done the questionnaire and it came back as moderate/severe (done it twice in the last few weeks, the score was higher the second time around since I've been feeling worse). I've looked at the nutri website, jsut at a bit of a loss what would be best - vitamin/mineral support only or the adrenal extra, the actual extract? Thanks, Niki > > > Hi Niki > > Do you have any symptoms of low adrenal function? Guest guest
Hi Niki Yes, it's difficult to know which ones might suit you best. From reading the posts on this forum the NAE seems to be popular. I personally have got both, and take one of each at the moment. In the past I tried the NAE first and then the Adrenomax and seemed to notice the Adrenomax helped me sleep better. That's just my experience though. If you're still in a dilemma, just go for the cheapest lol. Gill x P.S. If you do go for the Adrenomax, take it with plenty of water. I find if I don't there's something in it which makes my face go bright red and hot! > Hi Gill, > I've looked at the nutri website, jsut at a bit of a loss what would be best - vitamin/mineral support only or the adrenal extra, the actual extract?> > Thanks,> Niki
Guest guest
We usually recommend that for low adrenal reserve you start a course of Nutri Adrenal Extra. Go to our Files section from the Home page of this forum thyroid treatment and scroll down to the folder 'Discounts on Tests and Supplements'. Scroll down that page to the one entitled 'Nut5ri Ltd'. and open that. You can see the cost of the tests after the 33% discount that TPA members are allowed. Order by telephoning and remember to give the TPA reference number (which I have marked in red). You should receive the tablets the following day. Take one tablet with breakfast, and after 10 days, add another tablet but take this one with lunch. If you still have symptoms, add another tablet with breakfast. You continue to increase your dose in this way until your symptoms have gone, or are starting to go. If you find you are taking 6 tablets and not getting better, this is an indication you may need hydrocortisone for a short period to really boost your adrenals. Guest guest
Just to update - Been on the Nutri Adrenal Extra for 4 days now. No idea if it's related but I do feel better already - oddly the one huge improvement has been that I don't feel anything like as bloated as I usually do (which is big and constant), and I'm actually getting hungry for the first time in weeks if not longer (usually so bloated I just don't get hungry). Really odd and didn't expect that at all! I've also noticed that my insatiable appetite for lemonade seems to have been curbed, thank dog. Was struggling with that. Thanks to all for help with this Niki
