Guest guest
Hi I have been diagnosed as hypothyroid since 2004. I have been put on thyroxine since then and I haven't had a normal T4 or TSH reading since then and my dosage of thyroxine hs been put up and it is now 525mcg daily. I had the implanon implant since 2007 when our youngest daughter was born (incidentally she has developmental delay, hypotonia, bowel problems, dry skin and weak hair etc since birth. I after 2 year saw the top endicrinologist in a hospital in Oxford about this and she agreed after many tests scans etc it was due to me being hypo during pregnancy that was the cause of this). Since the implant and after I had it taken out in June last year de to numerous problems and issues I have gained 6 stones in the past 4 years (2 of them in the past 6 months). I have been on a low calorie controlled diet since then and power walk, zumba and swim every day. The past 3 months I have had periods that have lasted for nearly 3 weeks, extreme bloating gastric problems, sickness and vomiting. I do not know what to do. I am too bloated to be hungry and I can't stop gaining weight. I was a uk size 12-14. Now I am a uk size 22. I am not the same person I was and I don't feel well due to being hypothyroid anyway. Any help would be so much appreciated. Many thanks. Emma
