Hi P:

There are a lot of migraine aura videos on youtube about this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5VJ3mfEBm1s & feature=related

Does anything like this seem familiar? It happens more often than you'd

think..... just a thought...

Adrenal fatigue can put things out of norm, but usually without the colors

unless there are already colors present.

Cheers,

JOT

Hi JOT,

The visual disturbances weren't associated with a migraine. I have migraine

aura without the migraine (have done so since April 2010), but this was

different. It was very odd & caused on and off pain rather than migraine or

headache.

Hi P,

I recently had experience of zig-zag lines across my vision whilst driving, that

the Optician described as an effect caused by incipient cataract , the lens is

hardening ...the eye can't focus and gives an 'aura' due to the stress in the

visual cortex.

Visual 'adaptation' overload.

New glasses improved my vision with less visual stress ~ no 'auras'.

best wishes

Bob

Hi Bob,

That must have been quite disconcerting! Not good to hear that you are

developing a cataract but I'm glad that new glasses have got rid of the zig-zag

lines. I had a most interesting experience today. I had 'triple vision' for a

minute or so. I headed towards a street light and saw a translucent version of

the green light above the actual green light, but I also saw 'ghosting' of the

green light to one side of the actual green light. At the same time, when the

lights turned red, I saw two red lights. This is the first time that red has

been affected. Up until now, mainly green has been the affected colour (and

amber when it first happened last month). Such a weird thing to happen. I'm

seeing the neuro-ophthamologist later this week, so I will be very interested to

find out what she finds out! It is getting 'curiouser and curiouser' as Alice

would say (:

P

ps - my neurologist has no answers for me, however he says that it doesn't

appear to be anything that is happening in the visual cortex or the brain stem.

He explained why at the time & it made sense to me , but I can't remember what

he said!
