Negative TPO antibodies and some questions

Thanks so much for all the info Sheila, much appreciated! I just had a few

questions remaining, if anyone knows the answer..

I've had the TPO, and antibodies have come back as negative:

TPO 12 (0-34)

(Should I still ask for the TgAb then?)

My GP showed my a list of the other non-autoimmune causes but we agreed none

seem to apply. Is it important to find out the true cause incase it can be

treated and the hypothyroidism reversed? Or will the thyroid be destroyed

anyway, whatever the cause? My GP didn't seem sure.
