It can be more toxic than Vitamin D3. Bob Can you check that you don't mean 2000IU of Vit D3? 20mg of Vit A is also way too much ! >> Hello everyone, I cant work out how much vit A I need to take in relation to vit D. Whats the right balance? At the moment I am taking 2ooo mcg of D ( and if my working out is right, which it probably isn't) I should be taking 20mg of vit A. Guest guest
, iodine is very important to the system. We have a worldwide epidemic of iodine deficiency which is causing many iodine deficient diseases..But even so, the amount of iodine in a multi vitamin is so minute, it's not going to help a lot....may I ask where you heard that you should not take iodine with thyroxine? The thyroid gland needs iodine to function properly...... A great book which has just come out on nutrients and vitamin supplements ...and highly recommended to everyone: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Drug-Muggers-Suzy-Cohen/dp/1605294160 One thing to remember about supplementing with vitamins, etc. is that just because you are taking a certain amount, doesn't mean that this amount is being absorbed. Blood labs will show us more info, but many things deplete nutrients in our system. Coffee is one of those..... Cheers, JOT Also, anyone know of a multi vit and mineral which doesn't contain iodine? As I understand it if your on thyroxine its not good to take an iodine supplement. > Thanks in advance xx >
