Guest guest
YorkTest are doing a basic screening for £9.99 (was £20) if anyone is interested. http://tinyurl.com/6e8cyvp First Step Test A basic pre-screen, ideal for anyone wanting to find out if an IgG food reaction is present before choosing the in-depth YorkTest Programme. The First Step Test is a pre-screen to determine whether IgG antibody reactions to foods are detected or not. The test is ideal for anyone interested in the YorkTest Food Intolerance Programme but who would like to know whether an IgG antibody food reaction is present in their blood before deciding whether or not to proceed to the comprehensive second stage of the programme. The second stage includes analysis of IgG antibody reactions to 113 different foods and telephone consultations with a BANT* registered Nutritional Therapist; all for an additional charge of £245. Once you place an order, your First Step Test kit is posted to you which contains everything you need to take your own 2-3 drop blood sample in the comfort of your home. Once you have taken your sample, it is returned in the pre-paid envelope provided (UK only) to our laboratories for analysis. Your results are then posted to you within ten working days. * British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy
Guest guest
On the York Test website it says that this test can't be done by those on steroids - but when I asked them about this, they said it only applies to those who have started steroids in the last few months; it is fine for anyone who has been on them for a long time. Guest guest
PS: Interesting article here on the test http://forum.allergyuk.org/viewtopic.php?f=5 & t=282 Probably worth remembering whenever we get any *good ideas* to cross reference them using Google etc, especially the companies involved before we rush out and buy anything. > > YorkTest are doing a basic screening for £9.99 (was £20) if anyone is interested. > > http://tinyurl.com/6e8cyvp > First Step Test > > A basic pre-screen, ideal for anyone wanting to find out if an IgG food reaction is present before choosing the in-depth YorkTest Programme. > > The First Step Test is a pre-screen to determine whether IgG antibody reactions to foods are detected or not. Guest guest
I have to admit to spending a fortune on this for myself and also my daughter (£250 each), I wasn't impressed as we omitted what they found from our diet and there wasn't any difference. Guest guest
Really? what were the results then and how and what did you try to eliminate? I think if results are marginal then it's no real indication. If they were very high then that's a good indication. *The Pulse Test* is also a good indicator our reaction to certain foods, but again it needs to be a high indicator rather than just a marginal that we pay attention to. I guess a cheaper alternative would be an elimination diet anyway, but it's no good for a day or a week, it can take months before results are found. > > I have to admit to spending a fortune on this for myself and also my > daughter (£250 each), I wasn't impressed as we omitted what they found from > our diet and there wasn't any difference. > > Jackie x >
