Guest guest
and Shiela, thanks to both of you for the replies and reading material. I thought that given the emphasis placed on TSH levels that there would be some correlation with feeling good when it gets close to where it should be but it seems not! I am back to see my endo March 1st and he is doing some blood tests for me. i agree Shiela that there may be another factor and will get a full set of tests as you suggested - I have been on levothyroxine fro about 7 months (increased incrementally) and have felt well but taken a big dive recently. My not-so-good old friend alopecia seems to be making a reappearance too so there is something not right. I'd be interested to know if anyone has taken Evening Primrose Oil alongside their thyroid meds - good idea or not? I've read that it can help balance the hormones. Hi Adele, Alopecia is one of the clinical signs for Hypothyroidism, but it is most likely some autoimmune process that is causing the Alopecia - often triggered by excessive stress. Sometimes large doses of Vit B12 help, but not always. All the best,
