Any recommendations for a good thyroid specialist East anglia/London, please

Hi All,

I have finally got a referral from my GP to an endo - the appointment will be

at Addenbrookes, Cambridge... no idea who it will be with or how long to wait.

I have had a lot of trouble with Levothyroxine over the years - never being able

to get up to 50mcg without severe symptoms. This has been going on for over 25

years. I would expect I should be on about 125 mcg to bring the tsh down [Last 2

tests were 7.8 and 4.4].I Now have severe fibromyalgia, stomach problems,

depression etc [you know the score].

I would like to make the most of this opportunity. If anyone knows of a thyroid

specialist - [ I have an insurance scheme which would help towards a private

consult if necessary.

Ideas would be really appreciated.
