I'm sorry to hear about your 17 year old daughter. Do you have her latest Thyoid function tests results. If not what were her last ones and how long ago were they taken.

Please advise me as ap if possible,My daughter Tara, 17, has goitre and hypothyroid, though we verysuccessfully got all her bloods to normal a year ago using LDN selenium andlugols, when I could persuade her to take 3 drops. However she stopped allthis.Yesterday today, after noticicng her goitre enlarged and concerned about afunny sounding voice we went back to the doctor. She is being referred againand will once more be offered thyroxine.I persuaded Tara to get back to her regime and she upped the lugols dosefrom 3 to more tuan 6 drops and restarted LDN.Her throat seems much more painful and especially in the evening. Im worriedand don't know what to give her to help. She is in pain even when notswallowing or talking.I had understood, from the Peatfield article recently posted I think, thatits possible the goitre will enlarge when it receives the dose it needs ,for

24 hoiurs but then settle down.Can anyone advise me please what to do. Im worried Im harming Tara and wontknow what to do if the throat gets even worse.Inside there is swelling on the right side but no sign of inflammation.Help!NualaNuala._,___"
