A friend has rang me to say there was someone on Holby City with a thyroid 'storm' the other night. I wondered if it was a thyroid 'attack'. I don't watch Holby myself but I thought if anyone had catch up tv they might want to watch it.

Could this be an opportunity to right to the programme makers?

Hi Ange and welcome to the forum.  I'm fairly new too but have found it to be extremely helpful and also friendly.

Sounds like it was a chilling moment, scary !!!  It's all about money, sadly :(

Thanx Sheila :) It's good to be on the site too. And I feel a bit better in

my mind as I think its the calcium supplements that were the problem -it makes

sense now!!!!!! thanks for the info -you are a life saver Sheila....I would

have just become more and more poorly withour knowing that calcium supplements

inpeed uptake of iron, cuasing anemia over along period of time......and we need

our iron for our thyroid hormones to work properly......

cos I will be thrown of course if the bloods results on Friday say my iron

levels are fine!!!!!

I tried to go to work today.......they sent me home! Silly me....am going to

give myself time now to get better!
