Fasting glucose and Insulin stress test

Hi folks,

Just back from GP, ( she's not best pleased at endo's letter either) she'd asked

to see me because physio had written to her about my shoulder pain - the

painkillers don't help my constipation so wasn't taking them so physio wanted me

to start steroid injections again.

GP said she didn't want to start them again just yet as she wanted some tests

done first - fasting glucose because I had 2 high (just over range) glucose

tests a year or 2

ago that hadn't been followed up and depending on results of this one - an

insulin

stress test. This is for something to do with pituitary (I've not googled yet)

and my

" Normal " cortisol result from 24hr urine and 9am blood test as she's not happy

with the " normal " result. Result was 267 mol, she didn't have ranges but she

was sure this was at low end. She also mentioned my low TSH and T4/T3, I asked

her if it could be blocking TRaB, she said she didn't know she wanted these

tests done first but would look into it. 3 cheers for her :-)

Has anyone had these tests done before and was anything found? It's not like me

-

I'm a bit scared to google - probably being a bit irrational there lol.

Oh and on her letter from endo....same as mine but endoprat had added " I

wouldn't rule out this patient over medicating because she is not hyperthyroid

anymore and consistently talks about her weight " ......words to that effect!!!

Duh...T4 of 9 (9-21) and T3 1.? ....... suppose I should be grateful that words

like ' over anxious, nervous, depressed ' weren't added!!!

Do you want endo's name for your list Sheila? She's good at rendering me

SPEECHLESS!!!

Love Tess x
