Hi,

I was wondering if Dr Peatfield recommends Erfa, as he relinquished his medical

license before Armour was reformulated?

Does anyone know this as I'm struggling to contact his medical secretaries

(phone often engaged).

Yes, he most definitely does. If phone is engaged, leave your

name and telephone number and ask him to call you. He has his Crawley Clinic

today so that is one reason why you wouldn't be able to get him today and on

Wednesday's, this is his telephone day where he does all his telephone

consultations.

Sheila, I've been meaning to ask if Peatfield is mentoring medical advisors to

take over once he's retired? Or if the TPA has a program where medical students

can study through your program?

I also wondered if you have Nurse Practitioners in the UK as we do here in the

US. Most of us with thyroid issues have found that Nurse Practitioners are more

knowledgeable than medical doctors..( in pretty much every area of medicine )

Would they be able to study to be thyroid magicians?

First, I don't believe that Dr P has any intention of retiring,

as I do not either. There are too many people who are being so badly treated

within the NHS for us to be able to do this. It was Dr P's idea to mentor

medical advisors, but unfortunately, he is SO busy with the hundreds/thousands

of people who need to see him in his clinics or who write or telephone him

daily. However, he does give many lectures and passes on his information that

way. He is also in the process (quite a long way down the line) of writing

another book which is to teach sufferers how to diagnose themselves, how to

treat and how to self monitor if their doctor refuses to do this for them. He

appreciates that we cannot just leave patients to suffer in this way. His book

covers an awful lot and is VERY easy to read and understand. This is written

for doctors too.

Now that TPA is fully registered, it is our intention to have a

program where medical students (and qualified practitioners) can study.

We do have Nurse Practitioners starting up (very successfully I

hear) in NHS Endocrinology Departments and you are correct, they do appear to

know an awful lot more than the endocrinologists. So this is excellent news for

us all.
