Guest guest
Can anyone send me a list of the Internet pharmacies where I can buy ERFA? An English friend of mine only has one weeks worth of it left and is pretty desperate.......
Guest guest
,A couple of options are available to you, depending on your financial situation:Use PharmacyPriceChecker.com. This website checks for prices in the US and some other countries. The price difference is almost negligible when it comes to Atripla and not worth the trouble. I did a check for you and it is almost $45 per pill. I did a search for the generic form of Atripla which is called Viraday in India. India and I think Brazil, do not honor patent laws in order to lower prices for HIV meds.I belong to another Health group in , and they all seem to order from AllDayChemist from India. Prices for Viraday are 10% of Atripla (Around USD $150-170). https://www.alldaychemist.com/113-viraday.html <https://www.alldaychemist.com/113-viraday.html> Stick with "reputable" pharmacies in the internet. Ordering online, especially with pharmacies is playing Russian roulette. Sometimes you will get the real thing, but you can get sugar pills that look like the real thing. Some foreign pharmacies have a "local" number and address, but this is just a scheme when in fact they are based somewhere else. You should always do a Google search for complaints and the name of the pharmacy overseas to know what can go wrong. You can take steps to prevent it, like demand some kind of guarantee in case your meds do not arrive. Use a credit card to protect your purchase, etc.Atripla is likely to be priced at the MSRP (the one set by the drug manufacturers) even in India or Canada (around $1200-1300 for 30 days). I would think that your copay is NOT that high, but I could be wrong.Apply for Patient Assistance Programs which should cover copays, BUT these programs have limits (up to $200 per copay each month and last 12 months). If you order overseas, order 90 days at a time to lower your shipping charges and long delays.Costco has competitive prices and they do take insurance. YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE A MEMBER to use Costco/Sam's club pharmacies. Pharmacies cannot demand that you be a member and this is an FDA regulation. Tell the entrance employees that you are using the pharmacy only.I hope this works out for you.
Guest guest
Thanks, . This is very helpful.Tho, while I understand your meaning that the copay is not comparatively that bad, ANY co-pay is what I consider a part and parcel of a program of economic genocide that blocks access to lifesaving medicines to which human beings have a right, in my view.At the international AIDS conference, a woman, probably some HHS wonk, got up at a panel on Intellectual Property and asked a man from Brazil, representing the government, who talked about a compulsory license they had issued, how they dealt with the black market and fakes. This is a common ruse used by those pressing international shit free trade agreements that are TRIPS-Plus to try to block all access to generic and low-priced meds....Anyway, his reply was--EVERYONE IN BRAZIL GETS MEDS FOR FREE. it is part of their HEALTH CARE system--so there is no market for black market drugs really. This is sane public policy. The prices companies like Gilead charge are blocking people the world over--and literally resulting in MILLIONS of men, women and children suffering horribly and dying. That's why I call it Economic Genocide.(, of course, I trust you realize this rant is not directed at you at all personally--I just want to explicitly make it clear that what I am saying above is in no way an attack and to the absolute contrary, I am grateful for your advice and input in dealing with the current situation which is threatening the lives of an increasing number of friends!) Guest guest
Atripla has a co-pay card that has brought my cost to zero. Check it out. Totally free from the company and very easy to apply for.
