Guest guest
I have a question about some treatments. I would appreciate advice on this, and what would be good for chelation, and to look at thyroid and adrenals. Can a Naturopath prescribe thyroid and adrenal hormones or would I still need to See an MD for that? I have been suffering from exhaustion, muscle pain and irritability, insomnia, ringing in ears, blurry vision at times. One doctor I saw looked at a 25 hour urine test: T3, T4 and TSH I had in January. They were all in the normal range and he didn't want to look any further at that. Ferritin was at 428 ug/L; reference range 30-400. He thought chelation for that would be good; not sure which kind. He told me to take Inositol: 2 gr/day and Maca: 1 cup/day. I that doesn't work he wants to try intravenous vitamin: Myer Cocktail. He also thought I should get my DHEA-S and testosterone checked. A Naturopath would use oral chelation: main ones are KMSA or DMPS. I plan to get my thyroid and adrenals checked, but also want to look at chelation. I have had almalgum fillings taken out, but don't know if that would be the only metal or toxin. I also have a tattoo that is partly removed if that would affect the chelation. I have read an article about Andy Cutler's protocol for mercury chelation; would this be good for other metals? Would appreciate any insights or advice. Guest guest
Becareful when chelating and you have adrenal problems. I messed myself up evening following Andy Cutlers protocol as my body/adrenals just could not handle the stress of chelating. And i ended up developing mulitple food sensitivies which i didnt have before chelation. I think you should get adrenals/thyroid in check before chelating. Valrie from the other even thinks that once you get your thyroid up to scratch then it naturally chelates out mercury ect in the liver... I may be wrong but i dont think a nuropath can prescribe hormones ect but they can definately reccommened were u can buy them online from safe and respected websites. You should ask for a copy of your results and post them on here, then may be inside the ref range but that does not mean they are normal. I am interested to hear about myers cocktail as this is something i looked into myself but it was way to expensive for me to do it private and i did not know a doctor to speak to it about.
