Guest guest
Here is a quote from Dr Le Fanu's column in today's Daily Telegraph. " …two medical conditions that may predispose to sensitivity to cold, are anaemia and an underactive thyroid. Both can be readily tested for but it is suggested that sometimes, thyroid function tests can be misleadingly normal. A reader commends instead Early Morning Basal Temperature Test, where a reading taken under the armpit on waking of less than 97.0 degrees F, is suggestive of an underactive thyroid. " My Note: Yet the BTA and RCP poo poo this, as they do everything else that is likely to show a patient is suffering with hypothyroidism.
