Guest guest
Hi all I am struggling here and have decided to try st john's wort again. it worked for me 10 years ago, but since i tried prozac in 2004 it never worked for me. however now i'm on the testosterone i'm going to try it again, i hear testsosterone can help antidepresants work better. i can't think too clearly but here is my question. if st john's wort does help my depression, it is unlikely to fix any lingering adrenal or thyroid or other issues is it ? i have heard endo's say you're just depressed to other pepole, but i am not sure that fixing depression - which i guess could be caused by many factors - would fix htose hormone imbalances would it? i would have thought depression would be caused by long term stress and hormone imbalances and from battling these, rather than 'depression' just causing these lowered hormones and so on? i appreciate it is a complex interaction but does this sound right? thanks chris
