Just wanted to send out my apologies...for not returning e-mails sooner. Late last week, my ISP got spammed and that caused a backlog of mail that lasted for several days. Just in the past couple of days have we been getting e-mail delivered. I'm trying to slog through my backlog (around 400 messages) but don't have a whole lot of time right now. But know that I appreciate all of your thoughts and input on my ?? about Gracie, and I'll get back to you as soon as possible. Guest guest
Hi Barb! Things are going okay here, not great, but not too bad, either. LOL Will be glad to get Gracie's appointment this week over with...it's really weighing heavily on my mind and is making it hard for me to concentrate on other things that I need to (like my pharmacology test tomorrow!! LOL) How are things in your world?? *hugs* Barbara wrote: > , > > Take your time. We know you are out there & caring about all of us. Hope > you all are feeling fine! How's school lately? & Gracie? Guest guest
Hi , I’m glad you accidentally sent this question to the list, I too would be interested in some information. Right now I am having my clients pay cash up front for services and then have them submit a bill to their insurance company. The codes I have been using on the service statement include 90901 and 90875. Unfortunately, the reimbursement rate for the codes is rather small…does anyone else bill under a different code with more success?? Thanks, Apologies My apologies folks. Hazard of not reading address. However, if other people in the country . have helpful hints about insurance coverage, and pricing, etc. I'd appreciate it ..AND once again apologies for sending this to the list .... Guest guest
There was a panel of presenters at the AAPB conference in ville who gave a good workshop on this. They were going to do a survey and present the summary at the website. I haven't seen this summary posted yet, but someone could call or email them for the results. We use the same codes, and have had mixec results. The best one we've seen is United Heathcare PPO. Guest guest
I love all the off topic stuff. Guest guest
You're quite right, Nadine--no one is obligated to read every post (and I, for one, sure don't). I'm sure Lea Ann will chime in at some point but in the meantime, suffice it to say that a number of us came from other groups that were rather heavily moderated (but that went bizarrely off-topic regardless) and Lea Ann didn't want that sort of atmosphere here. We (Lea Ann and the moderators) figured that things eventually self-correct anyway so we usually just let off-topic subjects peter out. Many topics that come up that aren't of interest to me and after the first few, I start deleting them unread; I would advise others of like mind to do the same. We realize that there are members who think that posts should be confined strictly to the Vitamix. If those members are really interested in getting the best advice available, we hope they'll stick around and just delete what isn't of interest. Guest guest
Oh, it happens although I'd have to disagree that everyone is health-minded (at least in some of the directions the posts take); most of the posts I delete unread are health-related. That's why the Vitamix is so versatile--it has something for just about everyone who takes preparing their own food seriously. Re: Apologies I agree, Nadine, lots of great info in the OT posts. Guest guest
I am SO ENCOURAGED to hear all of these replies saying that it is "ok" to allow these off topic posts because I've AGONIZED over what to do about them. I feel they are vital and even when the OT stuff is something I'm not interested in (LOL can you guess which topics ;-) I know they are important to OTHERS.I debated about forming a secondary OT list (I've seen this done before) but just decided that it would be too difficult to manage and I'm not going to do it. I'll modify the text on the intro page of our website to indicate that we get OT thereby warning people.I will also try to post some more VM related stuff when the OT stuff gets heated to give the VM only people something to keep them interested. It will help if we can put OT in our subject lines (I forget sometimes too) that way people can just filter their email for OT in the subject line and delete the whole batch if they want. And finally, if I ever get around to finishing it, I've been working on an intro email that will go out to all new sign ups with advice on how to set up folders for VM emails so they won't clog in boxes and how to sort by subject or author or date so whole groups of emails can be deleted if necessary. - your information and recent posts have been vital to my ongoing learning - I have so much more to keep learning! Guest guest
Hi Lea Ann, Glad I could be of help. There is one suggestion I would make that would be helpful to those who are not interested in OT posts who get this in digest form. If people could trim their posts when replying it would eliminate endless scrolling to get past the OT posts. In other words, when you reply, first delete the previous posts except for the relevant part that you are responding to. It does get tedious scrolling endlessly through just one response which has many previous posts attached. > > I am SO ENCOURAGED to hear all of these replies saying that it is " ok " to allow these off topic posts because I've AGONIZED over what to do about them. Guest guest
I think we've done trimming posts to death at this point. It seems unlikely to happen (nice try, though). Also, the digests list the posts first in link form so you can click the ones that interest you rather than scrolling farther down to the posts themselves. Unless you set up folders, there's just no way of getting around having to see, at the very least, subject lines that won't be of interest. Re: Apologies Hi Lea Ann, Glad I could be of help. While I haven't posted much prior to recent discussions, I do read the group and there is so much helpful VM advice here. I could be totally off-base here, and maybe the OT discussions do not bother anyone? And if they do, a possibility is to start a VM OT group. Guest guest
I agree, it's pretty easy to skip over messages too. The OT stuff makes the group more like friends having a conversation than a list about something. One thing is usually recommended when one changes a subject is to create a new message since some groups have messages saved in a way that I don't really understand but if you just delete a subject line it's called "hijacking" the thread.Sent from my iPadOn Jan 30, 2011, at 3:53 PM, "~~" <ahcor4@...> wrote: I love the OT stuff...for me it often is related. I also LOVE the fact that this forum does not feel policed. I feel welcome to share or to just read or even to delete. What a breath of fresh air. Guest guest
Sincere thank you to , Sheila, Angel and . I had not realised my request had reached the forum. Sheila has just alerted me to the fact that I have posted the same question twice. I am really sorry. I have just read your responses & am truly grateful. I need to digest them properly & will respond. I have fished out the blood results that I have. You have given me so much information. I will definately be changing my GP (again!). I feel quite upset to realise that there is a real reason for so many of my symptoms. I suspect though that I have had a problem most of my adult life (now 56). To actually have a name to it is a bit sobering. I will post my results asap. I appreciate your taking so much time to reply and help me, many thanks, x PS I suspect my elderly father has it - he is baffled and frustrated at being unable to stay awake & also is so cold ( & Vitiligo!).
