Hi Ali, Dr Peatfield doesn't do blood tests, but he will check out

any that you have had done previously or recommend where you can get your blood

tested (or urine or saliva) and the actual tests that you require. Your

GP should give you the vitamin/mineral tests you require, which specifically

are ferritin, vitamin B12, vitaminD3, magnesium, folate, copper and zinc. Dr

Skinner will do the blood tests, but unlike Dr Peatfield, he doesn't check out

adrenal fatigue or treat this condition. Best to write to your GP setting out

your symptoms, signs, basal temperature for 4 or 5 mornings before you get out

of bed - ask for full thyroid function tests to include TSH, free T4, free T3

and tests to see whether you have antibodies to your thyroid. Ask also for the

specific vits/mins. above to be tested.

Ask for your letter of requests to be placed into your medical

notes and send a copy to the Head of Practice, always keeping a copy for

yourself, in case you need to refer to these requests at a later date.

Luv - Sheila

i am considering going to see either Dr Skinner or Dr Peatfield and wondered if

they did any tests blood tests for iron, zinc and others and if so are they all

included in their fees, do they also test for adrenal? I feel i am not going to

get anywhere with my endo. I have a lot of symptoms and would prefer to be

tested for everthing instead of being fobbed off.

Thanks

Ali
