Hello,

I've accompanied my ill friend to and Endo and he scared her with the quote that

taking any form of t3 would lead (NOT INCREASE HER CHANCES), of attribula

fibulation and oestoparosis. Is there any info in the files or links on this?

I did ask if he would back this claim up and he said he would be writing to her

GP. Also he ruled out her charts of temps and pulse as, despite her recording

her resting pulse of around 56, she had it taken there at the hospital and it

was 68 - which he said is fine. Her temps are low and he stated that it's

difficult for a themometer to give an accurate reading of LOW? so they have to

be disregarded.

He said that he felt that she would take matters into her own hands regarding T3

and that some of the 'internet' doctors would only make matters worse as she may

get better initially, but this would only mask the underlying problems (CFS),

and it would be difficult to put her right once she has put her body through all

this.

I would like to get the info on AF if anyone knows anything about it.

He mentioned Dr Peatfield when lecturing about interned doctors and we both had

to keep a straight face..........Back-up appointment with Dr P was already

lined up for mid March. She only wanted to exhaust all avenues with the NHS

before the next step. I just think she is a little scared.
