Guest guest
Hi all, can anyone help me to work out what's going on with me? I've been taking NAX and erfa for the past few weeks and starting to feel much better. Been taking 2 NAX in the morning, and 1/2 grain erfa in the morning, another 1/2 in the afternoon. At the weekend I raised by another 1/2 grain but stopped again because I've started to have very odd symptoms. The worst is anxiety, a sort of jittery feeling, feeling itchy, uncomfortable in my body, can't sleep (it's 2am and every time I try to sleep my mind just whirls uncontrollably). I feel like I want to go for a run or something!! Believe me, this is NOT normal! It's like I've got loads of energy to burn off, I need to jump up and down or something. But it's also very jittery and anxious, quite an unpleasant feeling. I'm thinking, could it be too much NAX? Or too much NDT? Or maybe not enough of something else? I'm disappointed because it seemed that my health was improving a lot, and now I'm stuck again. Any suggestions? Georgie
Guest guest
I had a similar experience and then all those horrible symptoms stopped as soon as I stopped taking the NAX. This obviously led me to believe that it as the hormones in the NAX that had been causing the symptoms, most particularly, I obviously assumed it would be the adremanile from the medulla of the adrenal glandular. However, I got very confused about this when I spoke to Nutri as they told me that NAX does NOT CONTAIN ANY HORMONES. They double checked this with their senior nutritionist practitioner in charge and she confirmed that NAX does not contain any hormones at all and that they extract any hormones from the product. In fact she went so far as to say that it would be illegal for them to sell it if it contained hormones. I asked her why it does not spell this out on the packaging of the NAX, in the wame way that it does on the Nutri Thyroid, as the latter specicically says " hormone free " . She said that she didnt know. So once I had heard all that I became very confused how I had experienced such dreadful and extreme symptoms whilst takeing NAX and those symptoms stopped when I stopped it. Guest guest
Symptoms can be caused because other conditions are going alongside which need to be identified and treated. Please check out the attached documents to see whether you could be suffering with any of these. your GP should test your levels of ferritin, vitamin B12, vitamin D3, magnesium, folate, copper and zinc and if any are low, you need to get these supplemented because no matter what type or amount of thyroid hormone you are taking, if these levels are low, the thyroid hormone cannot be fully utilised at the cellular level and you will remain with symptoms of hypothyroidism. Luv - Sheila If the symptoms started on increasing the ERFA, isn't it more likely to be the ERFA? Those symptoms sound hyperthyroid. > Hi all, can anyone help me to work out what's going on with me?
