HI

Will that be the bucket diagnosis fibromyalgia? as in we don't know what's

wrong with you?

Fibromyalgia as far as I can tell is general aches in muscles and joints, it's

what the docs diagnose you with when they can't be bothered or simply don't

know, the answers.....

General concensus seems to be that it's caused by too much unused T4 and not

enough T3......

Hi

well i have been starting to feel 'something' over the last few weeks, which i

suspect may be hypothyroid. i suspected that the treatment i'm on has corrected

or is correcting any inability to absorb thyroid hormones and that i have

pituitary issues and i'm hypot.

i have read fibro-m can also be low GH?

not really felt like this before - also feel nauseous, low, can't think very

well.

I dont believe Fibromyalgia is a different disorder chris, I believe it is hypothyroidism. I have suffered this and further this was exacerbated by my doc insisting several years ago that I took Statins....because my TFT's were/are always within range.

I now use high dose CoQ10 gelcaps....and keep exercising and this seems to be helping....I am whispering and crossing legs and fingers at the same time I write this.

So do try it...but also of course its necessary to get your thyroid hormone supplement/support sorted too.!!!

Hi Sally - all

I agree with you - everyone I have ever seen with hypthyroidism down the line undiagnosed or diagnosed - started off with a dodgy shoulder (probably diagnosed as fibromyalgia).

Best wishes

Yes. Most definately. Muscle weakness/pain joint weakness/pain yes it does. Some of it maybe related to Adrenals too (low function does this too). Fibro I believe is a red herring.

It is when docs cant think of anything else but further its hypot BUT the TFT's are 'normal'.

Fibromyalgia, M.E., C.F.S have all come about during the 1980's when after the Holy Miracle of the Infallible TSH Test came into being and many hypo no longer got diagnosed...what were they to do? Do docs invented these other disorders. They dont have a history these disorders other than dating back to that time.

You must support your adrenals and get your Thyroid Hormone supplement dose correct and bingo I would bet money on you feeling this all improve.

ok thanks for your thoughts on this Sally. that was the way i was thinking too.

why has this suddenly changed, why am i developing pain in the sole of my foot,

why are my legs starting to give way from under me, why are my knees sore, why

is my mood dropping, why is testosterone having no effect now, and so on. ? I

can only think that thyroid levels are dropping in body and aren't being

replaced - i think something/things has allowed my body to use thyroid, possibly

taking iron, copper, vit d, pregnenolone, vit A etc

i have read that growth hormone can cause these symptoms too but i'm not aware

of any thing i've taken that'd lower GH - i think GH was alrady low, so why

would these symptoms develop now.?

adrenals are supported well - hc, dhea, pregnenolone etc.

Remind me what Thyroid hormone supplement youre taking Chris? and has this changed in recent days/months compared to your symptoms?

Thyroid Hormone has an impact on GH. Lets face it what doesnt it impact on?

my thinking has been along the lines that, due to recent appropriate support,

your liver has understood that it can safely get rid of its accummulated

metabloic " stuff " .

i am sensing that what you are experiencing may be akin to a healing crisis

....the herxeimer effect. the devil is in the detail and it's about the " journey "

rather than " arrival " .

welll i wasn't prescribed any, i watned to see how the treatment plan i'd had

was working. i go back in november. i had tried NDT and t3 and t4 before but

didn't get on that well with it i htink becuase i had other deficiencies

this is why i am thinking " ok, i'm not on thyroid med, but i am getting

hypothyroid symptoms - could i be hypothyroid if my other meds are allowing me

to use thyroid? "

i do have some NDT, i may start this in very low dose and see how i go.

It wont hurt to do a trial ... you can always stop it if you need to....That is what I would do anyhow. xx
