Copper controls the body's calcium levels, thus preventing over assimilation of T4 (thyroxine) by the blood cells, while it stimulates the fabrication of the thyroxine hormone. Copper also plays a very vital part during the amalgamation of phospholipids, which are a type of fats found in the nerves; these fats are responsible for protecting the nerves. The stimulation of the Thyroid Stimulating Hormone or TSH is dependent on these Phospholipids. Precise levels of these fats are required to protect nerves and to prevent any thyroid issues; these are also used for treatment of thyroid illness. Guest guest
Foods high in Copper: http://www.healthaliciousness.com/articles/high-copper-foods.php and in Zinc: http://www.healthaliciousness.com/articles/zinc.php Many vegetarians should get their copper and zinc levels checked along with B12 , B6 and iron.....they are usually very low. This is a good copper/zinc balance. I really like Jarrow products, I think they do a great job. http://www.iherb.com/Jarrow-Formulas-Zinc-Balance-15-mg-100-Capsules/278?at=0 Cheers, JOT > " Thyroid's hormone fabrication, assimilation - thyroid metabolism are > regulated by copper.
