Guest guest
A very interesting video. Firstly I wonder if she had a major depression that warranted medication. After all I have known people get divorced, it was a hard time for them. Somebody I know went for counselling and she wasn't herself for a bit because it wasn't an easy decision and the circumstances leading to the divorce... There must be a big difference between being down about a divorce for a few weeks and sinking into a deep depression. I am wondering if there is an assumption that she needed the tablets, rather than just go for counselling. After all you are bound to be down and not yourself. http://wn.com/Ex-Pharmaceutical_Rep_Speaks_Out Those adverse effects sound awful! There is certainly a blame the patient culture. Take this because it is supposed to work. Then a disbelief that the tablets were causing all that. Just because something is unusual, it doesn't mean it's impossible/implausible. I had SSRI's forced on me for the ME/CFS because they are supposed to help. Any time I queried it, I was told to continue even though I hadn't had actual depression. It was an ME nurse who suggested I wean off the tablets. Once I did, a cloud lifted. It is hard to explain, but I felt more like my old self, like I was being dulled down by the tablets. Basically they like to force SSRIs onto you because they are supposed to help, if they do or not. Yet you have to fight fight fight to get your thyroid meds sorted. Would rather you stay on standard Levothyroxine alone because it works for the majority. They would rather say you have symptoms they will not treat, than treat you with the thing that works. Guest guest
Hi there, This is a dreadful case but I notice that this lady has a rather full neck and bulging eyes and would suggest that she has an underlying thyroid condition she is unaware of. I also notice that she lost a lot of weight when she was going through her divorce (adrenal issues?) - I remember when I was going through divorce issues years ago that I was given valium to calm me down and I only took one and nearly collapsed with exhaustion and had similar issues with just ONE tablet - I didn't know at that time I had adrenal and thyroid issues. I am also a firm believer that Seroxat which is an SRi could be responsible (in suspectible patients who may have underlying conditions like say undiagnosed hypothyroidism) for some of the shootings and out of character violent crimes that are occurring - having read a story about a gentle natured Headmaster in this country who went crazy with a shotgun and shot himself after being put on Seroxat and there are many other stories out there and the drug companies are aware of these but are denying it is anything to do with their drug. Nasty drugs being given to people for the wrong reasons - so many other things can be going wrong when someone is over anxious etc. and no-one thinks to check their hormone and vitamin and minerals levels. Best wishes Mandy
