Guest guest
Have just got my blood results. I am on 1grain Thiroyd (the one from Thailand) and working my way up slowly. I stopped my NDT for about 20 hours before tests. Here are the results: Plasma T4....12.9 (12-22) Plasma Free T3...4.9 (3.1-6.8) Plasma TSH... 0.02 (0.3-4.2) Ferritin ...161 (20-400) B12...812 (197-866) Serum Folate...18 (4.6-18.7) Plasma C <5 (0-5) should have done D3 but I think that one takes a little longer as it isn't on results. Last December whilst on thyroxine and before starting NDT my results were: Plasma free T4...16.5 (12-22) Plasma free T3...3.9 (0.3-4.2) TSH ...1.5 (0.3-4.2) Last June my Ferritin was 56 and B12 was 550 and folate 11.9 so in those three there is a lot of improvement after supplementing. Many Thanks.....

Just in case you are wondering.... the FT4 appears low in comparison to your Dec results, but this is perfectly normal. Because the natural thyroid tablets have a much higher T3:T4 ratio than a healthy thyroid gland would produce, the FT3 figure in patients who take natural thyroid will be higher within its ref range than the FT4 figure.... nothing to worry about. Your FT3 looks optimal and that is the most important figure – as long as you feel good, all is well. And well done for getting the minerals and vits up – all of the figures look fine, except your plasma C reactive protein (CRP) is a little high - at the upper limit.... this could mean inflammation (often of the heart muscle). Your result is still within the ref range, so nothing to worry about, but I would recommend to have this parameter checked again in ~ 3 months, just to see which way its going.
