I am so up and down that I don't really know how I feel anymore I am afraid. Hi Margaret, Since you are taking T3, we would need to see an FT3 figure. The T3 is the active hormone and that is the one that would tell you if you are taking the right dosage. - Just looking at the TSH and FT4 does not tell much. The TSH is fine with 0.84, but the FT4 is too low. So you would need more T4 and possibly more T3 as well ... although that would depend on the FT3 figure and this most important parameter has not been ckecked. In future please ask your doctor to specifically request an FT3 in addition; if he just ticks "TFT" the lab will not do it. he needs to make a note on the form that the 'patient takes T3' -only then will the lab oblige. Guest guest
Hi Thanks for that. I did ask re. T3 when having the test but of course the doctor had not specified T3. I shall have to make sure next time but I shouldn't have to should I? Kind regards, Margaret > > > > My latest results are in after being on T3 (10 mcg and previously > 5mcg) for about 3 months now.
