Guest guest
Overhead a conversation of interest in the hairdressers the other day when one of the stylists had apparently just been started on thyroxine, but her endo (which I can provide details of privately sheila) had checked her Vitamin D levels as he claimed they were important for the thyroid. She has been found to be deficient and had to take 15 tablets there and then and then a maintainance on a regular basis. Just out of interest I did a bit of research on this when I came home and it is amazing what a deficiency of this vit can cause. Dr P, on my last visit recommended it but I feel I need to get it tested before taking as it is a fat soluble vit and I don't want to do harm. Last time I mentioned it to a gp at my surgery she informed me it wasn't a test they do ! J
