Guest guest
I was diagnosed with an underactive thyroid some 13 years ago,and have been taking ever increasing doses of thyroxine ever since. Yet I have continued to put on weight, and generally suffer all the symptoms that I did all that time ago. The doctor does ablood test, and says I am ok, and if I complain enough, he increases the dose again. Surely there must be a way of checking if this is actually working or not, and if not, what can I do then?
