Guest guest
i always wanted to do it. But, I had put my daughter through so many tests, already..and she was already beyond freaked out...that I was too afraid. Based upon the fact that she is responding to cimeditine and all her stomach pains and waking up to " eat " in the middle of the night is gone, as well as fevers...my guess is, she had ulcers and then it would trigger all the other inflammation (throat, glands, etc). Good Luck and keep us posted. Fern.

Guest guest
Just curious - to the parents of the few children who are responding well to Cimeditine - did your kids have acid reflux as babies? Mine did. It's really too early to tell if the Cimeditine is working for him. He's been on it about three months but his fevers have moved further apart gradually. Used to be every 14 days, then 21. Right now we're on day 30 and no fever yet. Just makes sense that there might be a connection with kids who might have stomach ulcer involvement and if they had acid reflux early in life. Brown, mom to Gavin 25 months, since 9 mos.

Guest guest
Hi , No history of acid reflux for my son, but he seems to be responding to the Cimedetine. We're also in the earlier stages of it, but so far so good. He has been a different kid! Our Dr told us his unscientific opinion is that kids with mouth ulcers typically respond more but they're just not sure why it works. Guest guest
My child had AWFUL gerd as a baby. I am sure this is all related. Especially, because my daughter (who is 9) says her stomach never felt better. She had an awful stomach prior to taking cimeditine. It took a full year, before we saw a really long break. Stick it out..I think it is great for some kids. Fern (mom to , age 9, diagnosed at 3 with )

Guest guest
I know we have had some discussion about this before, but I can't find the messages I was looking for. A friend of mine has stomach ulcers, but she says the test for H Pylori came back negative, so she is left without a cure. I seem to remember someone saying the NHS test was not that reliable and they had to have a test with a specialist in Oxford ( ? ) If anyone knows about this please remind me or point me to the relevant posts. Thanks, Miriam
Guest guest
Miriam - type 'H Pylori testing' into the little search engine at the top of the 'Messages' page on our forum, and you will get loads of previous messages up about this. Go through them until you find the one you are looking for. Luv - Sheila I know we have had some discussion about this before, but I can't find the messages I was looking for.
