My daughter 37 who has 4 kids went hypo /hashimotos 2 years ago

Fibromyalgia accompanied it

she has now seen the only decent endo there is in the area 3 times

T3 made no difference

Rhuematologist put her on cortisol for a couple of months which improved the fibromyalgia but as soon as that finished she was back to square one

Saw the Endo on Mon and he told her ..........."you have a chronic auto immune disease , your antibodies are sky high and like other patients you will feel awful theres nothing we can do other than maybe put you on long term low dose steroids "

Given that theres not been one step forward in reaeserch or treatment of thyroid disease in the 50 years i have seen my husband struggle through Graves and Hashis i consider the entire medical world should hang their heads in shame at the way they treat patients

As i wrote in a TED newsletter over 20 years ago " the only qualification that should be needed to become a consultant is to actually suffer the disease they claim to treat ......one thing is sure no doctor as ill as my daughter and my husband was and so many on here are could possibly get through a Medical Degree let alone work the hours required of a registrar or ever become Consultant status "

The RCP are a total and utter disgrace
