Guest guest
Hi! I'm new here. My name is Krista. I'm 26 and my wonderful husband and I have a beautiful 6 month old daughter. We live in the greater Seattle Washington area. We've decided not to vaccinate her or any other children that we might have. I, too, am scared about the measles outbreak around this area. I live right in Federal Way where I heard that 4 of the 11 cases have been reported... It's gotten to the point where some days I am afraid to go out with her because I don't want her catching it, but then I realize how silly that is. If she is going to get it, she's going to get it. And I'd rather have her get it as a child than as an adult when the consequences could be much worse... My husband can't stay away from work, so if someone else's kids have it, he'll be exposed to it there and bring it home... I agree though that the worst is the confrontation that I get because she isn't vaccinated. I'm the only one of my family and friends that isn't vaccinating. It's hard to have those you love attack you because they don't think that you are doing it the way that they think you should. So I'm here hoping to find more info so that when I am confronted, I have the intelligent knowledge to back me up. Also, just to have the support of other families. Thanx! f and Krista Proud Parents of Aeryn Bryn
