Your cynicism doesn’t go far enough. Aim at the real targets. Doctors,

Lawyers, Pharmaceutical companies. If a cure for Arthritis and Diabetes

were found today we would never see it. Patients with Arthritis and

Diabetes tend to live a reasonably long life. If the cure were found, do

you think all those " very caring people " are going to give up their

steady source of very high income? NO. They are going to continue giving

up crap that helps a little but not enough to keep us from coming back

every time another body part falls to the disease. Why is it in America

Doctors make grotesque amounts of money. In the rest of the " real " world

Doctors are paid more along the line of what we pay teachers. The rest

of the world sees teachers as their country's future.

Doctors, Lawyers and drug co's scream that they can't make it because

(place any reason here as they are all fabrication)

GREED........

Tort reform......never. Doctors and Lawyers deserve each other.

Another target that needs to have a long hard look at.....

Rheumatologists. Is it me, or are they getting DUMBER by the day. Watch

the letters go through the forum. We are being spoon feed by idiots

because they know our focus is on the pain. I thought you had to

specialize in Rheumatology to be a Rheumatologist. No........ Just a

thirst for money and a willingness to tell your patients that we are

doing all we can do. I applaud you for writing about part of the real

issues. The reality check however, should be the patients’ revolution

against the machine that is perpetuating the false treatment of the

disease. Arthritis is a Disease. Doctors, Lawyers and drug companies are

parasites that feed off of us. You are correct in that there is no cure

for Arthritis. Parasites on the other hand are curable. Unfortunately

for us they have infected the government and will bleed us from there too.
