Hi friend, we miss seeing you around. How is life these days? Are you

still busy with Social Work?

Hi Guys. Thanks for all the messages. I haven't worked out quite how

to reply to the list rather than individually. I'm doing it this way

cause I got so many replies.

" Fill me in on your story " had DS. She also had an AV Canal

Heart Defect. She died getting on for three years ago (11 July 1998).

And the support I got from the list at that time was incredible. In

fact, I was on the net talking to you guys when she died. They had to

send the police to tell me cause they couldn't get thro on the phone.

Yes, , I am still doing social work. I am working for a women's

centre doing 1:1 counselling, running groups stuff liked that. I have

also, in the last couple of months been getting some private work, so

finally there are enuf $$ in the coffers to do more than just pay the

bills. After so many years dependent on the government, it is great to

tell them to ....... <G>

Social life has been the hardest to pick up on. Still single. Still no

man in my life. Am living in a house my son Mark and his partner,

bought, partly for investment purposes and partly to give his

old mother some security in her old age <G>. He is 27 now. Living with

(they have been together for over 5 years now), in Sydney

which is a bummer cause he is so far away. No sign of grandkids yet,

in spite of me telling him I am ready to become a grandmother. I turn

55 this year in July and am old enuf now for some of the seniors

goodies.

Thanks for your replies, Guys. Really good to hear from you too.

Hi,

I am not moonbeam, but this may help.

Cliff

Dear Cliff:

Hi Cliff. I'm so sad to hear of your ordeal with prostate CA. I think what

you're doing is teriffic. Thank God for your progress.

We originally opened our clinic in TJ in 1992 to treat specifically prostate

CA

with Hyperthermia (without chemo or radiation). We still treat a large

number

of prostate patients since that was one of Dr. Freeman's specialities.

Yes, glucans + flaxseed oil is excellent. Add some Enzymes when needed and

you've got a great combination.

I have put the link to my website up for you to peruse. Simply go to the

Products site and choose what you want to order. Go to the order page,

printit

off and fill it out and fax it over with a credit card and we'll ship out.

I

have Betacan 500 in stock (encapsulated pure glucan powder) or just the

raw

powder itself. Most people prefer the encapsulated stuff.

OK...to answer your questions...yes, glucan is a " must have " for cancer

patients.

Here's some copy off my website:

WHAT DOES IT DO AND WHAT IS IT USED FOR?

Basically, what glucans seem to do is to stimulate / irritate your white

blood cells called Macrophages into action. There is actually beta glucan

receptors displayed by immune cells that the lectin fits right into like a

lock and key and switches on or activates the macrophage to do it's

job...clean up. Increased macrophage activity triggers a whole cascade of

immune events, which basically boost immune response, which improves Natural

Host Resistance. However, RESPONSE IS RECEPTOR MEDIATED (in other words, if

the macrophage in the gut peritoneal lining lymphatics is not displaying a

receptor site for glucan or they're blocked by other lectins, then the

glucan simply passes by and is excreted). There is no danger we know of for

causing excessive macrophage activity and damage the immune response, or

creating an autoimmune condition.

Primarily glucan is used to add immunological punch to products to address

the ever increasing incidence of chronic infections, inflammations

(arthritis), and other immune stressing things like allergies, poor diet,

bad work habits, etc. It is used extensively in the veterinarian industry,

fishing industry, and skin care. Recently it is crossing over into human

nutrition.

It is proven beneficial for conditions related to immunity. available:

This product is important to keep Host Resistance at optimal levels. It is

an excellent antioxidant / free radical scavenger and especially beneficial

for those undergoing treatment for immune-related conditions such as cancer,

AIDS, CFIDS, or other infections. It is also a good preventative and booster

for the average person wanting to strengthen their resistance.

In terms of dosage for beta glucan, it's usually figured at a min. of

10mg./kilo of bodyweight per dose...caps are taken at bedtime and upon

rising on an empty stomach. I usually have our cancer patients taking 2

caps twice daily and then we do a darkfield microscopy to see how their

macrophages seem to be doing. Some patients who are early on

in their cancer have intact immune system function and only need 1 cap twice

daily...some only need 1 cap at bedtime 4 times a week...it depends on the

case.

I'd love to private label it for you if you want for your site...very low

minimums since I control the entire process from manufacture right through

to packaging. Tell me the best way I can help you reach your goal...you

can feel free to

take anything in terms of copy from my website materials also. I've had

alot of experience in this arena so I'll be glad to be of service...

Carolyn Bormann, N.D.,C.P.

Hi! Welcome, Welcome!

My name is , my husband & I have a 15 month old son and we're

expecting our 2nd baby in mid- October which will be a homebirth. I

am hoping to get some chiro. care very soon, I feel like my body

needs an adjustment, especially to prepare for the birth. I also want

to take my son to get him adjusted.

We vaccinated our first until he was 9 mos old, we will not vaccinate

our 2nd at all. Fortunately for us, Max did not suffer any drastic

reactions to his shots. I do wish we had researched the subject

before he was born, though.

Hi --

Welcome to the group! You have lots of virtual company on this

listserv, as you probably can tell.

I'm jumping in with some unasked-for advice, because I can see from

your message that you may be going down the same path I did by taking

antacids instead of something like Prevacid.

I made things much worse for myself by relying too long on

over-the-counter medications and not paying enough attention to the

prescriptions for Prevacid that the doctors were trying to get me to

take.

After I had a very bad setback last year, I decided to do more

reading about these various medications, and I now realize that

antacids don't compare to Prevacid and medications in that category.

I know I sound like I work for a drug company (I don't! ), but I

really think those of us with achalasia have to be very serious about

avoiding GERD.

Now if we could just get those drug prices down, eh?

Welcome !!! My husband tends to read over my shoulder too. He says to

tell everyone that he is a lurker. His name is also and doesn't like

to be called Dave but everyone does. We have two children, who is

18 and in college, and who is 15 and has DS. My is in the

Army band. He has a year and a half until retirement. There are a few Dads

on this group. They are pretty vocal guys;)) I am a quiet, unassuming,

meek, mild woman with very few opinions. (if you believe that there is

plenty of swamp land around here for sale)

Just down here close to Florida. LOL We have seen many a lot for sale with

ads like " beautiful marsh view. " I found that very entertaining. Northern

Georgia is the foothills of the Appalachians. I love to take the backroads

into the Smokey Mountain National Park through there.
