Guest guest
stated "As for Zinc & Iron you need to test to see if you need them before supplementing." From what I've read, it's difficult to assess zinc status through lab tests - http://ods.od.nih.gov/factsheets/Zinc-HealthProfessional/. One doctor I went to said that the best way was to check RBC zinc and RBC copper and they should be a 1:1 ratio. There's also a zinc taste test using liquid zinc but I don't know if it's reliable although it makes sense to me since zinc level affects taste. or anyone else knowledgeable on this issue - what do you know about zinc testing? Thanks. Diane
Guest guest
I have always used RBC levels for both. When I supplemented with Zinc & Copper it was 25 mgs Zinc / 10 mgs Copper. Guest guest
How do you find copper? I have never been able to find copper supplements, or zinc supplements containing copper.
Guest guest
I took products from Dr. Brownstein's Office - Zn-Zyme from Biotics Research and then another product that was Copper. I cannot remember the brand though. You can probably find it on www.centerforholisticmedicine.com Buist, ND HC Re: Zinc testing (was Re: Iodine beginner needs help! Which brand of supplements?)
