Guest guest
Tamara you will probably feel better once you can get the salt going. Weird dreams are often associated with bromide detoxing. I drink coffee- know it isn't too good for me but it is my one vice. Maybe one day I will give it up. I just like to get up in the morning and hold that warm cup in my hands as I wake up. Finally in de-tox/question about black tea/coffee Hello Everyone,I'm finally in de-tox, at, are you ready for this? THREE mg. of Iodine, 1 tablet of Standard Process. After a couple of days of nothing happening at 1.5 mg, I went up to a 3 mg. tablet yesterday morning. By around 5 p.m. last night, I had a taste like nail polish remover in my mouth (really not metallic) and felt really tired and weak, along with a headache. I immediately took a third dose of C, which would equal 3,000 mg. for the day, and took a de-tox bath. Those helped. I had very weird dreams last night. This morning, I have already got the first dose of 1,000 mg. of C, and will go up to maybe 4,000 on that today...along with another detox bath tonight, take my other supps, lots of water, and try to get through. Vitacost shipped my salt separate from the rest of my order (I don't know why, maybe the facility in SC was out of it). Hopefully, I'll get that today, so I can salt load tomorrow.I had a question: I am a heavy tea drinker, and I was online doing some reading on de-toxing, and found out that tea is full of flouride, esp. the black tea that I drink, and have for twenty one years. I average about 4 cups a day. So, I understand now that my tea habit has to go, but what about coffee? Can I drink that, or is it off the list too as far as flouride goes? That may be why I'm having such a horrible time de-toxing at low doses-I'm overloaded on flouride also, and I'm not only releasing bromide, but flouride at high amounts, too.Any ideas on this? Thanks,Tamara
Guest guest
Tamara, The tea question has botherd me also even though I don't drink much. This doc in our community has had a remarkable turnaround in MS symptoms. http://www.mindingmymitochondria.com/Book.html Green tea is one thing she advocates as helping. Your library may have the book by now. Here's a presentation > > Hello Everyone, > I'm finally in de-tox, at, are you ready for this? THREE mg. of Iodine, 1 tablet of Standard Process. Guest guest
Tamara, One of my favorite medical gurus, Blaylock, MD, writes a subscription health newsletter in which he focus primarily on toxins and neurotoxins and on nutrition to combat toxicity. He has stated that green tea is good for detox but that to avoide the fluoride in it, you should never add lemon to it because the lemon makes the fluoride more bioavailable. I would assume that any acid would have a similar effect, such as if you are drinking tea with a meal containing an acidic salad dressing, for example. I don't recall if he said anything about not brewing the tea bag too long in order not to release too much fluoride, and it's inconvenient for me to look that up right now, but common sense says not to leave the tea bag in the water too long. I'm guessing no longer than 3 min. and even less if the tea tastes OK without steeping it very long. I tend to get distracted and forget to take my tea bag out for 5-10 min. and sometimes longer. That's not good. So, do as I say, not as I do, OK? > > Hello Everyone, > I'm finally in de-tox, at, are you ready for this? THREE mg. of Iodine, 1 tablet of Standard Process. Guest guest
I also have had the question about Green Tea and fluoride. I love drinking 2 big glasses of cold organic green tea a day. I called the maker of Mighty Leaf Tea. They told me they do not add fluoride to the tea leaves but that the tea has a naturally occurring fluoride from the air and soil and is: 0.3-0.4 mg/8oz. Is this a lot? I I can not drink green tea would hibiscus tea be safer? Any ideas would be great! Letmar > > > > Hello Everyone, > > I'm finally in de-tox, at, are you ready for this? Guest guest
I drink coffee also-- a cup a day but I treasure it. There is research showing that caffeine and coffee and tea have health benefits, despite health dogma against it. Coffee does not have fluoride except the water it's made in. Also I'd like to remind folks that fair trade/organic coffee benefits small farmers and large-farm workers all over the world. -- On 4 Jan 2012 at 9:10, Buist, ND HC wrote: > > > > Tamara you will probably feel better once you can get the salt going. > Weird dreams are often associated with bromide detoxing. > > I drink coffee- know it isn't too good for me but it is my one vice. > Maybe one day I will give it up. Guest guest
I once heard an interview with Dr. Max Gerson where he said his one 'vice' was drinking a cup of coffee daily. =-) So you all are in good company! Guest guest
I just read that chronic intake of tea can lead to a B1 deficiency. (thyamine). Maybe this should be added to your supplements. > > Tamara you will probably feel better once you can get the salt going. Guest guest
Fluoride is not added to tea, tea leaves have an affinity for fluoride and it is accumulated through the soil and water. Don't let anyone kid you, chances are the fluoride the tea accumulates is not from naturally occurring fluoride, even if it was, large amounts of naturally occurring fluoride cause the same types of health problems. It's not just the source that's the issue, it's the fluoride itself. Older tea leaves have the most fluoride. Green tea does have redeeming qualities although I'm not sure I would drink large amounts of it. I used to be a tea drinker, consumed quite a lot and ended up with fluoride issues from it. I quit drinking it totally for about 5 years. Now I have an occasional glass without problems but still stick mainly to good quality, fluoride free water. You might try other types of herbal fruit teas, don't know offhand which ones are fluoride free. Lots of people have a hard time drinking just water, but if you stick to really good quality water, it's a lot easier. My personal favorite is Mountain Valley, and it's what helped me kick my tea habit. They deliver is glass containers so I don't have to worry about plastic chemical issues either. For detoxing fluoride, large amounts of Vit C, water (fluoride free), magnesium, both internally and externally, any form except oxide and magnesium oil for the skin or Epsom salts baths nightly. (Children should be monitored if soaking in Epsom salts baths as it can cause sleepiness.) Linn > > > > > > Hello Everyone, > > > I'm finally in de-tox, at, are you ready for this?
