Guest guest
All right, good. You're welcome. I believe there is a test for magnesium. The thing is, magnesium is hard to get in the diet, unlike calcium. So it turns out most people (but not all) don't need to supplement with calcium, but most people do need extra magnesium. Magnesium is hard to find in the diet, and the demineralization of the soils has made it even harder. Some people are taking a lot more, like 800mg and more, and I would do so if it didn't instantly cause me intestinal distress. I was actually prescribed intravenous mag for the fibromyalgia, but have never been able to swing it financially. Point being, it's hard to get enough mag. Please make sure you're adding as supplement 400mg mag daily. -- On 3 Jan 2012 at 19:21, smallhagridinvt wrote: > Hi and thanks. > > Yes, thanks - that is what I meant exactly. > > I did not see your helpful SUGGESTIONS as requiring a buy of anything > in particular from any ONE source. > > I -did- appreciate the chance to spend less money -IF- it was decided > to get these things from Vitacost. > > This query remains: > If there is any way to tell if one is getting enough magnesium ? > > Thanks again, I missed this somehow: > > You need at least 200mcg of selenium with the iodine protocol > > And this is a fine answer too, thanks: > > The ester form of C has been shown to stay in circulation in the > > body up to 24 hours.
