Guest guest
STOP STOP STOP I'm sorry about the capital letters but I really really really don't want to be interpreted as requiring anyone to buy anything, particularly not from a particular seller. There are other discount quality vitamin suppliers on the web that people really like. Swanson's Vitamins is a very good company, for example. iHerb.com is a lot of people's favorite. There are others that people are happy with and loyal to. I'm not getting any money from Vitacost and PLEASE do not take that list as any kind of requirement. I hoped I made it very clear, but I guess I didn't, that the list of supplements was SOLELY AS AN EXAMPLE of what is possible. It is not a requirement. AT ALL. Other moderators might make different choices. I don't even actually take magnesium glycinate because I'm super sensitive to oral magnesium and I use epsom salt baths (magnesium sulfate) and magnesium " oil " (magnesium chloride) externally. I'm currently still finishing up what I already had of my previous form of selenium before I switch to the methyl form. Again, please, don't even go where you're going! You are not required in any way shape or form to shop at Vitacost nor to buy the exact same products I listed. The list is ONLY ONLY ONLY to show people how it is possible to have a very low cost (over time) for the iodine protocol (compared to other nutritional supplement programs), and to suggest some specific products JUST AS EXAMPLES of what choices MIGHT BE MADE. NOTHING MANDATORY. If one buys from a single seller on the web, one's shipping costs are lower, that is why I chose one seller and products available. I was trying to show how low one's costs could be and what a range of choices might look like, even if one were choosing the latest, fanciest forms of supplements (ester C, methyl selenium). You need at least 200mcg of selenium with the iodine protocol That's the minimum, as stated in the Guide. You need at least 400mg of magnesium, in whatever form works best for you. You need at least 2,000mg of Vit C, in whatever form works for you. The ester form of C has been shown to stay in circulation in the body up to 24 hours. Unlike regular forms, which are urinated back out within 2-3 hours. That is why I like the ester form. MANY PEOPLE ARE USING MANY OTHER FORMS. IT'S YOUR CHOICE. Hope I have made myself clear now? wishing you the best, -- moderator On 3 Jan 2012 at 8:57, smallhagridinvt wrote: > I wonder if anyone could enlighten me a bit on these things, please ? > > Starting with vitamin C...I already have and use a non-ester 1000mg > tablet of this, so: is there some great reason to change to the ester- > form of it ? > > Magnesium now; I spray on nigari water, and drink water with mag. > bicarb. added, always. Guest guest
Hi and thanks. Yes, thanks - that is what I meant exactly. I did not see your helpful SUGGESTIONS as requiring a buy of anything in particular from any ONE source. I -did- appreciate the chance to spend less money -IF- it was decided to get these things from Vitacost. This query remains: If there is any way to tell if one is getting enough magnesium ? Thanks again, I missed this somehow: > You need at least 200mcg of selenium with the iodine protocol And this is a fine answer too, thanks: > The ester form of C has been shown to stay in circulation in the body up to 24 hours. Unlike regular forms, which are urinated back out within 2-3 hours. I did not misunderstand your intentions - I was merely trying to get clear on MORE general knowledge regarding the types, uses & amounts of the various things. Price shopping for the best deal & avoiding shipping charges is THE way to go in my opinion and your list pointed me there quickly so I did not have to search out each thing and it's permutations. Great work - My Thanks ! mark
