Guest guest
Hello Everyone: In a taped interview that I listened to (and took notes) Dr. Fleshas said that Thyroid Hormone inhibits the ability of the body to absorb Iodine. So does that mean that for anyone taking Thyroid Hormone, they will not absorb Iodine so easily? Thanks, Bonnie
Guest guest
I have heard him say that before but it is not based on science. He comes up with some things that make you scratch your head and wonder why. This is one of them because it goes against scientific information. Thyroid hormone is created from iodine so if you think in terms of supplying it from the outside then you would not NEED as much iodine because you aren't creating hormones - that is very different from not BEING ABLE to absorb iodine. Remember iodine is more than just the thyroid. Buist, ND HC Dr. Fleshas said about Thyroid hormone... Guest guest
While Dr Flechas is considered an iodine positive doctor, his positions on iodine, which have changed over the years, are not always consistent with the science- based iodine protocol that we are teaching here. So please be aware of that when reading or listening to his work. The information on this list and in Dr Brownstein's books is accurate. The information on www.optimox.com (research tab) is correct (even if not always the latest information). Generally speaking, sources outside of those resources are liable to contain misinformation about iodine, even if they contain some good stuff. That is the problematic state of the medical and health world about iodine. -- moderator On 3 Jan 2012 at 6:40, ladybugsandbees wrote: > > > > I have heard him say that before but it is not based on science.
