In July 2010 my husband had a heart attack - so I started Champix to try to stop

smoking. While I was still on it I had a dental extraction - and my morning

temperature dropped to 34.4c

My doctor did not feel this was a problem, but took a blood test which showed my

TSH as within normal.

I stopped the Champix as I was rather unnerved by the violence of my feelings -

I am ordinarily very peace loving. Unfortunately I am still smoking :(

Over a fairly short time my skin had deteriorated, my nails became brittle, hair

more brittle and constipation worstened. Still my doctor did not think it was a

problem.

So I have been supplementing with iodine in water - only a drop or two - plus

the companion nutrients. Some nasty detox stuff is happening.

Took my temperature today and it is 36.5c! I do feel a little feverish, but

initially I felt feverish at 35c. And it is not the hot weather as I have barely

left the airconditioning.

My hair is still thin but is growing very fast, my nails are stronger.

Hopefully my skin improves too (I look at least ten years older than I did two

years ago)

I also hope that the detox alleviates soon. But I think most of what is

happening is positive. Wish me well!

On the 16th I am seeing a doctor at the local Women's Health Centre and will ask

to have TSH, freeT3 and freeT4 tested and I am hoping that she will do this (and

knows what these are) and once I have those results I will post again.

I have MS, so ordinarily a temperature increase is a very bad thing, but I was

having temporary exacerbations at very low temperatures. I am hoping that as I

go on the temporary exacerbations will not strike until temperatures above

37.5c. Something to aim for.

I know that ordinarily fevers serve the function of burning off infections, but

my 'fevers' have been at too low a temperature to do any good.
