Guest guest
Overdosing on One Vitamin is always dodgy. It unbalances other.... I think Vit C helps to dislodge Calcium among others - check it out Mike > > Hello: > > > > I can't seem to get past 2,600 mg. Guest guest
Classic example of why we do not trim our posts. I answered based on iodine not Vit C. Cracked lips can be from a deficiency in Vit C and Vit A. Buist, ND HC >> Hello:> > > > I can't seem to get past 2,600 mg. Guest guest
Thanks Steph, but that doesn’t make any sense, since there are 2 (?) types of Vitamin C, I thought maybe switching types would help. These deep, painful cracks will go away within a day or two when I stop the Vitamin C but I don’t like to do that. I’ve heard of it before but no solution. Years ago a Homeopathic Physician told me that for people that get cracked lips from Vitamin C, she gives AMLA to them. Guest guest
Hi Bonnie,I was getting cracks in the skin above my lips. I heard a Naturopath on the radio one nite and he said this is a lack of B vitamins. I started taking SAMe for rheumatoid 2 months ago and the brand I bought has all the B vitamins with the SAMe. Cracks have just about healed. I take only 1,500 of VC.R u taking the B vitamins as well ? B vitamins might work for you - just my uneducated opinion.Jess
Guest guest
Hi Jess: Yes, I’m taking all the companion nutrients and I’m okay if I stay below 2,600 mg. of Vitamin C but if I go over that – OUCH, it even hurts to smile. I have read this in several places so I’m not the only one.
