Guest guest
I'll give another example. When I asked to move from Synthroid (synthetic) to Armour (desiccated) thyroid medication I was told that as a thyroid cancer patient who had antibodies that I could not take it because it would cause an attack in the body and open me up for further cancers - mainly colon. Since my father and grandmother both died of colon cancer this did not thrill me. It was confirmed by one of the top biochemists in the nation who started a very well known nutritional supplement company - he is friends with a doctor friend of mine (no it is not Dr. Brownstein). I felt so much better on Armour than Synthroid that I knew that had to be worth something. I decided that the benefits outweighed the "risk". We are all so different that it is impossible for these studies to test for all scenarios. We do the best we can with the information we were given.
