Hi Bonnie,

From what I have read, it is not safe to put a Q tip in the ear canal . They say we should not insert anything into our ear canal smaller than our elbow! =-)

I have a vague feeling that this was already covered at some point when I wasn't all that interested. Now I'd like to know if it is SAFE and OKAY to put Iodine on a Q-Tip and insert into the ear canal?

funny. I thought I had read that here on this forum at some point but since

you read everything, you would know. So I’ll put that idea to rest.

Since doctors

have us putting in these AWFUL steroid drops, I thought Iodine would be safe.

Hi Bonnie,

Actually I don’t remember reading anything about putting iodine into the ear. So I don’t know if that is a good idea or not. I do know that there are drops available from heath food stores ( garlic/olive oil and different combinations ). Here are some I found online:
