Guest guest
hi everyone, first time poster and somewhat new to this fabulous group. i will be introducing myself under separate email cover soon but wanted to request some guidance on behalf of my mom. she is 70, diagnosed with osteopenia / osteoporosis and has recently had cornea transplants but is otherwise in rather spritely good health. she has her annual physical coming up and i wanted to arm her with requests for specific bloodwork. i should also note that i have the MTHFR gene mutation (hetero / single copy) and thought it might be a good idea to have my mom tested for the mutation -- especially in terms of any elevated homocysteine values. i also know to have her FREE T3/T4 and TSH levels tested --but would love any input from the group before she heads in. with all the health care hoopla happening, its much more difficult for her to request intermittent lab tests so would love to get this handled in a single fell swoop, as it were. once i get her baselines, i plan on easing her onto the iodine protocol. thank you so much....i am very grateful to , all the moderators, and the collective wisdom of this group! kind regards, jill
