Guest guest
I have a friend who had good success with iodine and a nodule. So definitely continue your research. in AlaskaOn Wed, Jan 11, 2012 at 4:07 AM, shericeroberts@... <shericeroberts@...> wrote: Hi, i'm new to this group and have a couple of questions. She won't do the liquid so could I split the pills into 4? She is currently taking a multi vitamin, B-12, Erfa(recently swithched from levothyroxine),Cod liver oil. Can anyone recommend a good Vitamin C? Is it possible that the iodine will shrink the nodules? Any thoughts, suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Guest guest
My children are 9 & 12 yrs and they are both on 25 mgs / day. She will also need the companion nutrients. My children take 100 mcg Selenium / day, Vit C 1,000 mgs, Fish Oils (Barleans Omega Swirl). You can split the 50 mg tablets as they are scored. The vitamin C my son takes is Metagenics Ultra Potent C (chewable). My children were 4 & 7 yrs when we started them on iodine and they started at 6.25 mgs. There is no "too high" amount. It depends on the condition you are dealing with. Does your daughter have amalgam fillings (silver)? There seems to be a connection to nodules and mercury. Guest guest
Most people's nodules will shrink, but most importantly, iodine provides the missing nutrient that allowed the nodules to form in the first place. Make sure she's also getting the unrefined salt that is part of the iodine protocol (adjusted for her size). And Sheri, you and the rest of your family members should also take the iodine protocol, for health. -- moderator On 11 Jan 2012 at 13:07, shericeroberts@... wrote: > Hi, i'm new to this group and have a couple of questions. Guest guest
If your daughter likes tea, I would suggest making rose hips tea for her. Rose hips has 100 X more Vit C than an orange (that's per weight). Works for us. We have also tried C from tapioca and also from cassava root, those are OK too, though they are processed to a certain extent. I always try to use food based C (vs. synthetic which can have unwanted additives) for our family as it's healthier. Just a note, if you make the tea, don't use metal pan or utensils, it inactivates the C according to Dr. Weil. > > Hi, i'm new to this group and have a couple of questions. Guest guest
Thanks . No she doesn't have amalgam fillings. I made sure she got composite fillings. I was able to break up the tablet into 8 pieces, so I will gradually increase her dose until I get to 25mg. Do I just keep increasing it until she shows symptoms of too much, or should we hold at 25mg? Do your kids take the celtic salt? I can't hardly stomach it, I can't imagine my daughter being able to. I will try it though. Guest guest
Sherice,On the sea salt, I do better taking it if I put the allotted amount in a small bowl and use it like a salt lick throughout the day. I just follow each time with a good amount of water. Don't know if that works with the heavy iodine protocol or not. in AlaskaOn Wed, Jan 11, 2012 at 11:55 AM, Sherice <shericeroberts@...> wrote: Thanks . No she doesn't have amalgam fillings. Guest guest
No I wouldn't push it with her. Detoxes are hard enough to manage as an adult much less a child. I have dipping cups that I leave out for my children and they eat the salt out of the cups. They use as much as they want on their food and I use it when I cook. They don't supplement with it.
