Guest guest
Hi ,I too have Fibro, and was on Iodoral from Sept 2011 to Dec 2011. Worked up gradually to 37.5mg. I ran out and won't have more til Feb but have had a huge migraine for almost 2 weeks. Not sure if that may be withdrawal, or my fibro as I get headaches a lot. Your question about low low back pain interested me as I have never experienced anything like it until about a month after I started Iodoral. My tail bone area almost feels bruised and hurts when I sit on it or apply pressure like when I lay down. I am only 44 and used to be in great shape before my Fibro diagnosis about 5 years ago. I wanted the Iodoral to help kick my thyroid into gear although my tests were all normal. I would like to lose about 15 lbs that I gained since the diagnosis. I didn't get to work up high enough on Iodoral for me to get my energy back yet, so I will gradually increase it the next round until I feel better. How many mg does the Lugol's translate into from the drops you're taking? I'm curious to know how high you have gotten. Thanks! > > Hello all, I am new to the group. I have had fibromyalgia and possibly CFS for 6 years now. I " m only 28. My thyroid levels keep fluctuating to normal and just above normal but since im still " norma;, " my doc wont treat me. I have started Lugol's 2%. I started with just two drops on my wrist and i noticed a difference the next day. I felt strong, I didn't ache like usually and I was so awake and alive! I then upped my skin dose until i felt comfy with drinking. > Just three days ago, I put two drops in my water in the morning and two drops around 1pm, still painting but instead of my wrist, i use a couple of drops to paint my neck. Then I started doing 4 or 5 drops both times as well as painting and this is where I currently am. I have been on many vitamins for a couple of years but just recently added selenium. I take Vitamin C, E, a B-Complex, omegas, Iron, Magnesium, Zinc. > I am aware that I need to salt load as I have pretty strong headaches but until I get the salt, I used ibuprofen - it was a hard decision. I didn't want to take it. > I have very little pain now and I have zero fatigue! I feel alive for the first time in 6 years. This is amazing!!! > > Anyway, my questions are: > > 1 - I have aching pains in my lower body that I didn't before. They feel like the onset of a heavy period. Guest guest
Hi , First of all, welcome to the group! Glad you are here. I have found that using Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) along with the Iodine Protocol has saved my life. I am still struggling with issues like adrenal fatigue, but I have so much more hope. You are at least finding out what is wrong at a young age and getting to address it with healthy alternatives. I struggled for over 50 years before I found these two helpers! If you want more info on LDN, let me know. I have 40-60% less pain with the LDN. I have just passed being on it for 2 years and wouldn't live without it. I am also working on learning how to meditate. I am reading "Full Catastrophe Living" by Cabat Zinn. Awesome book. I have read another edition before and reading this new one, 15th I think. Were it not for the LDN and the Iodine Protocol, I would not be able to tackle doing the meditation. Some days I have NO pain. Best wishes! Glowing, grace~
