Hi Sherice,

it will definitely help reduce any fermentation in the pockets.

Iodine for Diverticulitis

Hi, I was wondering if Iodine would be beneficial for diverticulitis? My mom has suffered with this a few times, and is currently down with it. She is also hypo and I was going to start her on it anyway. Just wondering if she started out on a higher dose, if it would help with her diverticulitis? Thanks,Sherice

Some iodine is excreted in the feces, so yes, it gets that far if we are taking

enough.

That's why higher doses are recommended, is to give the whole body iodine

sufficiency.

Thanks for

replying. I wasn’t sure if the Iodine would still be intact AFTER

going through the stomach. I can’t see THE AMOUNT we take making

any difference ONCE it is digested.

Also would it

reach the Colon?

Thanks,

Bonnie
