I thought this was related to iodine. I have reverse T-3 and dr

Howienstein suggested to me to take 50 mg iodoral for 6

months. well my temps were 97.2 to 97.73. After two months my

temps were during the day averaging 98.45 they go down between

2:30am to about 6am Then at 7am I take the first iodine pill and

in 1 hr my temp is 98.0 and STAYS THAT way ALL DAY TILL IT

DROPS That night as long as I space the pills throughout the day.

Hi Big Al,

Time to find a new doctor! Maybe an older GP who remembers when doctors used to diagnose hypothyroidism by symptoms not only by blood tests!

How can you get a dr to realize the standard test TSH T3 and T$ is meaningless and they treat the test rather than the symptoms? I have Reverse T-3 at 545 and he ignores it and goes by TSH level and says I am fine when even his nurses could not get a temp reading on me.
