Guest guest
If you're taking Lugol's, drop back your amount slightly. You can do that by diluting a drop in in a measured amount of water or juice, then only drinking half of that amount. But yes, you're right, it's no doubt bromide detox, and those symptoms can mimic diseases the person has had in the past. But with skin stuff, we want to back down the dose, let the new lower dose soak for a while, and continue to work on your detox pathways. -- moderator On 8 Feb 2012 at 1:49, health43mj wrote: > I'm starting out very slow and only recently increased from 3 mg > iodoral to 6 mg. Guest guest
Woops I'm sorry you said Iodoral. You can cut the tablets so you're only getting 4mg or so. Lugol's is easier to titer small doses. -- On 8 Feb 2012 at 1:49, health43mj wrote: > I'm starting out very slow and only recently increased from 3 mg > iodoral to 6 mg. Guest guest
Thanks One interesting note is that the eczema got worse on a day that I forgot the ultraClear, so i think it is definately making a difference. Guest guest
My allergies are also worse. Red, itchy, burning eyes, increased sneezing and sinus congestion. My eyes are killing me. I can't wear my contacts unless I take a Zyrtec (only 1/4 tab) and even then, I can't wear them all day. I hate taking allergy pills because of the " rebound " effect. It helps to take it, but then the symptoms get worse when it wears off. Yesterday I tried increasing my ultraClear to 2 scoops. Hpoefully that will help. I'm going to run out soon. Should I get more, or is there something better? MJ > > > > > I'm starting out very slow and only recently increased from 3 mg > > > iodoral to 6 mg. Guest guest
I'm not an expert on the use of that product or others like it so can't address that. But if you're having intense detox symptoms, you need to decrease your iodine dose. -- moderator On 12 Feb 2012 at 14:31, health43mj wrote: > My allergies are also worse. Guest guest
Hi MJ: I’m wondering why you have become sensitive. How much Iodine are you taking? Guest guest
I know! I'm wondering that myself too. I'm only taking 3 mg of iodoral a day. Things got worse when I tried increasing to 6 mg. I'm guessing that I have a pretty high bromide burden. I went through a lot of detoxing over the years when I had candida, multiple intestinal parasites and bad bacteria, and heavy metal toxicity. Its been over 6 years sinse then but maybe my liver is still also over burdened as well from all the detoxing. I can't really push through the bromide detox because the eczema can get bad if I don't take a break from the iodine. The other day I actually had a patch of eczema that was open and bleeding. Not good to have oozing cracked bleeding hands when working in healthcare! One day break from the iodine and it dries up. Now it is not itchy, but just dry with some little red scabby bumps. When I did mercury chelation therapy my hands looked like I had leparsy or radiation exposure! It was disgusting! Not sure why my body chooses the skin on my hands so much of my detoxing! Any suggestions? MJ > > > > > > > I'm starting out very slow and only recently increased from 3 mg > > > > iodoral to 6 mg. Guest guest
There are several natural antihistamine products that really help. One is N-T-Hist, another is D-Hist. Or you can take the supplements separately, which are Vit C, Quercetin, Bromelain, and Stinging Nettle. Donna in IL, moderator My allergies are also worse. Guest guest
Thank you so much Donna for some natural alternatives for my allergy symptoms! I'm going to check those out. I actually stopped the 6 mg iodoral for 3 days and there was practically no change in my eczema, so I started it back up and I feel so much better! More energy and a clearer feeling head, eyes are less tired. this is pretty amazing because I also have my period right now which is usually the worst time of the month for me. No pre period headache this month either! I'm just going to stay at 6 mg for a while and continue detoxing. I'm getting some TLC from Zen and will try to do at least 1 coffee enema per week. Maybe there is even some homeopathic cream for eczema that I can put on at night. Also keeping my humidifier going non stop will help as well.
