Guest guest
I am not into the salt thing, the only way I can do it is putting it into capsules. My seven year old takes pills, so would think your daughter could take the salt in capsules...might have to be several small ones, though, to get the whole amount. I get my capsules at a health food store, they have lots of sizes. > > > > Have you read the Guide To supplementing with Iodine www.steppingstonesliving.com/resources/iodine I have given general guidelines for children and iodine. > > > > Buist, ND HC > > >
Guest guest
I put out dipping cups of celtic salt for my children. They would eat it out of the cups during the day. I let them take what they wanted and they would use it on their food. I never supplemented them. I just added it to what I cooked - liberally. Guest guest
what i meant was -how to get 1.5 tsps into her. sorry for the typo. and i will use salt liberally and leave some out for her. i bet she'll like it. so, it doesn't NEED to be that exact dosage. is that right? thanks so much for all this info. and stephanie, the booklet is a wonderful help! Guest guest
Just thought I would add..... yesterday youngest granddaughter stopped over after school. She was hungry so made her some savoury rice and put some freshly ground Himalayan salt on it. She said she normally does not like salt - but THAT salt was nice. So, quite possibly your youngster may find that she likes the unrefined salt, too. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Re: Re: iodine for 8 year old girl? Just wanted to mention that 1.2 teaspoons of salt would be almost 3 times the recommended amount for daily use. I just put the salt in a bowl and use it like a salt lick during the day. in Alaska On Wed, Feb 1, 2012 at 5:16 PM, true-D <michelabelle@...> wrote: thank you so much! how would i get 1.2 tsp of salt into her each day? i don't suppose she'll be very cooperative and i wouldn't expect her to just eat it...help!>> Have you read the Guide To supplementing with Iodine www.steppingstonesliving.com/resources/iodine I have given general guidelines for children and iodine.> > Buist, ND HC>
