Scientists cure cancer, but no one takes notice

I looked into this one, the article doesn't give the full story. First it may

only cure specific types of cancer. If you go to the college's site they were

testing on a type of brain cancer. Also, since its a drug that is already made,

its up to those already making the drug to see if it can be put to a good use.

Drug companies are about testing their stuff not everyone else's. The college

hasn't updated since 2010 so don't know what they are doing with it. They may

have even found they were srong. They didn't cure since it was still in the

testing phase. They had a hypothesis, huge difference from a cure.

There is no mention of iodine in this article, however, the process described

seems similar to what I've read about iodine healing metabolic disorders. Can

anyone speak to this?

" The method employs dichloroacetate, which is currently used to treat metabolic

disorders. So, there is no concern of side effects or about their long term

effects. "

There is a well researched review article on iodine and cancer published in 2011 issue of Journal of Orthomolecular Medicine. It gives us irrefutable evidence. Only problem is that in me (I don't have cancer) Lugol's gives boils. -------------Ratan Singh, Phone: 91 141 2652561, mail: ratanpsych@...- Certificate in Food & Nutrition; Diploma in Nutrition and Health Education; Life Member, Nutrion Soc. The boils are what is called " bromide acne " which is caused by bromide

exposure. When iodine is taken in sufficient amounts, bromides that have been

sitting around causing disease are flushed out and are loose in the bloodstream

until the body gets rid of them (detoxifies them). When there are more

bromides loose in the bloodstream than the body can wash out efficiently, other

systems come into play. The skin, which is a detoxifying organ among other

functions, will try to get rid of it, except that it causes the acne/boils. The

solution is to not take so much iodine that the bromide is pushed out in too

large

amounts, until the detox pathways of the body have improved sufficiently to

detox without skin effects.

Just wanted to add that we put iodine topically on my son's boils when they

surface. Works well, they disappear within 3 days. Prior to this, they could

last from a very pain filled 2-3 weeks.

,

Regarding your last sentence, " The solution is... " , I have a question. For many

months I've been taking 50 mg a day of an Iodoral equivalent my doctor has

developed. (Same ingredients, lower price.) I've never noticed any detox

symptoms. (Unless they were slight & brief, & I could have attributed them to

something else.) So what I keep wondering is, do I have to increase my iodine to

the point of detox in order to detox? Your comment makes me hope the

detoxification process could be going on at a slow rate without big symptoms?

thanks

There ya go. That's a good response actually because the iodine is ideally

suited for healing those bromide eruptions.

Yes, detox is going on, but your body has been able to keep up with it enough

so that you didn't notice bad symptoms. You can always raise your supplement

amount and see if you get stronger symptoms. Any iodine your body can't use

will be washed harmlessly out in the urine.

50mg is probably the maintenance dose for most people because of the halide

toxins in our environment. For some people, a therapeutic amount is going to

be higher.

Am upping the iodine dose this week (+12.5 more) to see what might happen.

My MD is unfortunately the crankiest man I've ever met. He wants you to do what

he says and ask no questions -- or beat it. But I'm stuck with him bec he's the

only natural/alt MD in Nashville whom my insurance works with. So I've been

reluctant to tell him I'm doing the iodine treatment. He has had me on Armour

for a few years. I'm on 100 mg of Armour. Should I man up and tell him about my

iodine use? Will it affect my thyroid's use of Armour?

thanks

,It may affect it by causing you to need less of the Armour. The added nutrition to the thyroid can cause it to start working better, thus the lower dose of replacement needed. You would know this by starting to have hyperthyroid symptoms. So journaling daily can be very helpful to see patterns emerging.

A lot of us tell our doctors on a " need to know " basis. If I was happy with my

thyroid med

dose, and things were going well, and I knew my doc would hassle me and that doc

were my

only choice for other reasons, I wouldn't tell.

Iodine gives the thyroid what it needs. It may make your thyroid able to use

the Armour

more efficientlly, but you're being tested regularly so you know your dose is

within bounds.

Iodine is a nutrient that you are providing for yourself. That's all.

The only downside about not telling him, imo, is that the positive effects of

iodine are going

unremarked and unappreciated. But imo that's not enough to risk your own health

security.

I have some friends who moved to TN and have been going to this doctor for adrenal and thyroid issues.  They have been very happy with him so far. Reisman Mind-Body Medical Center  near Vanderbilt University

615 320 11751201 Villa Place Suite 202Nashville Tn 37212I'm told that he is like a detective looking at both symptoms and test results but he's looking for an alleviation of symptoms by finding root causes.  He uses natural dessicated thyroids, iodine, and adrenal support.  He doesn't use a one size fits all approach and is hunting for each individual's needs and is willing to try different things and think outside of the box.

Thank you Laralee, I have been to Dr Reisman, and yes he is wonderful. He was the only one I could find in this area 20 years ago when I went to him. That's why I was wondering if the other person had found a different one, his office is just in a very congested area, hard to get to, from where I am located. It's worth the trip though. He doesn't stop until he finds an answer, and he does it so quickly it's amazing. I had been to 3 doctors, for horrible hives for an entire year, and chronic cough, he asked a few questions, looked at my hands, gave me a shot, and two supplements. Hives were gone the next day and I never coughed again after I left his office. He is very good.

Thanks

Re: Re: Scientists cure cancer, but no one takes notice

I have some friends who moved to TN and have been going to this doctor for adrenal and thyroid issues. They have been very happy with him so far. Reisman Mind-Body Medical Center near Vanderbilt University615 320 11751201 Villa Place Suite 202Nashville Tn 37212I'm told that he is like a detective looking at both symptoms and test results but he's looking for an alleviation of symptoms by finding root causes. He uses natural dessicated thyroids, iodine, and adrenal support. He doesn't use a one size fits all approach and is hunting for each individual's needs and is willing to try different things and think outside of the box. Laralee
