Guest guest
It doesn't apply to thyroidless people since you are artificially creating thyroid hormone through taking a medication. Also, not all people who have thyroids have an increase in TSH. Buist, ND HC No TSH rise in me from Iodoral I've been taking 50 mg Iodoral daily for 3 weeks. Then I had labs done. My TSH did not rise as I thought it was supposed to. It stayed at .02 where it usually is. I am thyroidless from a TT 7 years ago. Does my no rise in TSH possibly mean that my pituitary is not working well? (I'm wondering also b/c I wonder about the state of my adrenal HPA axis too). Guest guest
Thank you. That makes me feel relieved somehow. > > It doesn't apply to thyroidless people since you are artificially creating thyroid hormone through taking a medication. Guest guest
In that case, is the body not going to be able to produce NIS? > > It doesn't apply to thyroidless people since you are artificially creating thyroid hormone through taking a medication. Guest guest
No it has nothing to do with that. It is the feedback loop that is broken. TSH is being suppressed by T3 in the blood stream from the drug. Buist, ND HC No TSH rise in me from Iodoral> > > > I've been taking 50 mg Iodoral daily for 3 weeks. Then I had labs done. Guest guest
I think I saw Dr Flechas say that the ovaries can make thyroid hormone. If true, how much is produced compared to the thyroid? Which of the " T " hormone are produced? Thanks. Peace and gratitude, Dean ...................................................... > > It doesn't apply to thyroidless people since you are artificially creating thyroid hormone through taking a medication. Guest guest
The ovaries can make some T3 hormone but it isn't significant and I don't know that it has ever been measured.
